The following will help guide you to make a nice British "cuppa" The British Bash way. Whether you have our loose leaf tea in a tin or your own brand tea leaves or tea bags.
Items needed (ideally)
• Cups & Saucers or Mugs • Teapot • Milk Jug • Teaspoons • Tea Kettle• Milk • Sliced Lemon • Sugar • Teabags • Tea (bagged or loose leaf)
Instructions
- If using our loose leaf tea, fill an empty teabag filter with 2 tsp of loose leaf tea or use a tea infuser
- Boil fresh water in a tea kettle or pan. Pour a small amount of the boiling water into the teapot (if using)
and swill the water around. This will warm the pot. Pour out the water from the teapot. - Put the teabags or infuser into the warmed teapot. Typically, use one teabag per person. If you like
strong tea use more. Pour the boiling water from the kettle onto the teabags and give the pot a stir with a spoon. Allow the tea to steep in the pot for about five minutes. - Pour a small amount of milk or lemon (not both!) in a teacup or mug and pour the tea from the teapot into the cup. Add sugar as needed.
- If you dont have a teapot, do not despair. Tea can be made in the cup/mug. Simply boil the tea kettle, put one tea bag in each cup and pour the boiling water in the cup. Allow to sit for a few minutes. The longer it sits the stronger it will be. Remove the teabag and add a splash of milk or lemon to the cup with sugar if desired.
....... and relax.
